Yep I agree too

In fact for the FileHelpers I was in the situation that for make it seriusly I needed to add a lot of docs, resisign the site, etc and I know from others comercials apps that only have as docs the NDoc output, i.e. like you said, the fact that is open source tag it as burden or not reliable. I have more than 420 test for the new release but if the FileHelpers were comercial maybe more people be using it,

Anyway I´m very happy with the feedback and to keep it free.

To me, the real problem is in higher level, i.e. not are the users the problem, the problem is M$, the day that M$ said:

"We use this excellent open source tool or lib"
"We recomend you this open source tool"
"You must check out this OOS library"

The users simply dont care, in Java all is completely different, much much more in php and I suppose that in python more than the others. The father of the criature is who mark the community feeling about OOS.

Cheers from Argentina
Nice to talk with you.

Yeah Marcos, I myself don't send feedback to every opensource project I use or know but that's not the real problem. It's being part of the community that thinks OpenSource like a burden or something less reliable that made me go away. It's better this way for me and for them, my gut tells me that.

Nice article and congrats for the switch =)

I completely agree with you dude !!
The Open source spirit is not with .NET not so time ago, not now and sure not in the future.

Is a bit frustrating, the worst part is all the users that wants features now, in the way they want, and for free !! very funny, I have read some riduculous post like that:

"Somebody knows about a tool to generate docs from an assembly, I was using NDoc but seems that the developers dont know that there is a new version of .NET, the 2.0"

There are so many idiots out there !!

But I know too that there is a lot of people that love the libraries and tools, and something dont send feedback because have no time, I dont send any feedback to the NAnt team but I love it =)

Anyway just my 2 cents
Best Regards
Marcos
